1FRIEND — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of https://1friend.com (the "Platform"), operated by 1FRIEND ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

1. Definitions

"Platform" refers to the 1FRIEND website accessible at https://1friend.com and any related services.


"User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Platform.


"Content" refers to text, images, videos, audio, or other material posted, uploaded, or shared on the Platform.


"User-Generated Content" refers to any content created and submitted by users, including posts, comments, messages, profile information, group content, and event listings.


"Group" refers to a community or collection of users created on the Platform.


"Event" refers to any gathering, activity, or occasion listed or promoted on the Platform.


2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Minimum Age. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old.

Users Aged 13 to 17. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with a parent or guardian and that they agree to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Depending on your location, we may require verifiable parental consent before you can use certain features of the Platform.

COPPA (United States). We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to use the Platform. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will terminate their account and delete their personal information.

GDPR (European Union). If you are located in an EU member state where the digital age of consent is higher than 13, you may not use the Platform without verifiable parental consent.

3. Account Registration and Security

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your User-Generated Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to post your content and that your content does not violate the rights of any third party.

Moderation. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to review, monitor, or remove any User-Generated Content at our sole discretion.

6. Groups and Events

Groups. Users may create and join Groups on the Platform. Group creators are responsible for setting and enforcing rules for their Groups. We are not responsible for the conduct of Group members or the content posted in Groups.

Events. Users may create and promote Events on the Platform and invite others to join. Event creators are solely responsible for the accuracy of event information and for complying with all applicable laws related to their Events. We do not organize, endorse, or assume any liability for Events created by users.

Safety. When attending Events organized through the Platform, you should exercise reasonable judgment and take appropriate safety precautions. We are not responsible for any harm, injury, or loss that may occur at or in connection with any Event.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by 1FRIEND and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation of the Platform or the information, content, or materials included on the Platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1FRIEND shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 1FRIEND and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on the Platform and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 1FRIEND regarding your use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements.
